This three dimension metal sculpture of a paddle wheel ship was made by Curtis Jere in 1976. A beautifully rendered example made of piece of copper, iron, and brass. When hanging on a wall the piece appears as if it is floating through the water with steam bellowing from its smokestacks.

 

C. Jeré (or Curtis Jeré) is a metalwork company known for wall sculptures and household accessories, ranging from representational to highly abstract. The company was founded in 1963 by Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, who created art under nom de plum of Curtis Jere by combined their names. This California based firm is still in existence, however their modern piece are now made in China.
