Fancy Painted Dome Box

Circa 19th century

5 1/8″ H x 10 1/2″ W x 6 1/4″ D

 

The box is grain-painted in a simulation of veneered panels, with red, white, and black borders. The lid features an oval design whereas the front features an octagon-esque shape. Each shape has painted lines radiating from it, adding an extra decorative feel.
