“In the Dog House” Children’s Mug

English

Late 19th century

Ceramic

2.5” H; 2.5” D

One side of this diminutive mug shows a woman in a red dress kneeling down and a boy in a yellow shirt holding a dog that’s almost the same size as him.  Their background is a doghouse and house covered in flowering vines.  The other side of this mug shows a man in a yellow shirt approaching a child in a red apron who is standing in a doorway.  A dog is next to the boy, sniffing the air.  The background shows a home covered in flowering vines.

WHY WE LOVE IT: We’ve all been there before!  I just hope to avoid the doghouse on a regular basis.
