Pair of Majolica Sconces

By George Jones

Staffordshire, England

Circa 1880

13″ H

Noted for his whimsical patterns and high quality craftsmanship. George Jones was the king of English majolica. These hummingbird majolica sconces represent just that. Both sconces feature a scene with a hummingbird drinking the nectar from a sweet white honeysuckle flower. The honeysuckle is nestled between vibrant green leaves.

WHY WE LOVE IT: I mean who doesn’t love Majolica. With their bright green color and adorable hummingbird accents on the front, these sconces will make a statement wall they are added to.
