Wooden Owl Carving

American

Early 20th century

Carved Pine

20″ H x 10″ W

This expressive owl was carved from the trunk of a white pine tree. It is clearly eyeing its next meal and has wonderful presence. The owl is life sized and very well carved with a beautiful patina. Found in Massachusetts, it is likely made in New England in the early part of the 20th century.

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is a great conversation piece that is very realistic with a great expressive gaze.
