Butterfly Drop-Leaf Table

Connecticut
Cherry
Circa 1730-1740

This rare and very early table survives with the most desirable rich and historic surface. The cherry retains an early, if not original, dry and untouched color. Small and perfectly proportioned, with wonderful turnings, full feet and superbly shaped butterfly supports.

Provence: Lilian Cogan, Hartford, CT

Why we love it: Besides the rarity of a butterfly table, you just don’t see a 1740’s table with this finish.  A one-of-a-kind survivor.
