Double-footed Queen Anne Tavern Table

Hagerstown, MD

Circa 1780

Walnut and yellow pine

29″ H; 37.5″ W; 27″ D

When first glancing at this table, it comes across as a highly unusual Queen Anne tavern table. The showstopper is in the double pad foot.  But there are other great features about this table, including a nice splay to the legs, original brasses, and a rich surface.

WHY WE LOVE IT:  With feet that nice, the cabinet maker needed to do it twice!  I have only seen one other table with similar feet.  The piece survives with a wonderful surface and has a great splay to the legs.
