Dressing Table

Attributed to the Porter-Belden school of Wethersfield, Connecticut
Circa 1770
Walnut

A shapely and finely proportioned dressing table that embodies the Wethersfield aesthetic of simplicity and purity of line. Also typical are the elegant, tall cabriole legs and pad feet that stand on truncated cone discs.

Why we love it:  Legs like a thoroughbred. It looks like it can run away at any moment.
