American Arrow Weathervane

American, possibly New York or Massachusetts
Circa 1920
Copper and cast iron
13.5” H; 34” W

This lovely weathervane has a lovely patina with evidence of use on top of a roof for many years.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Weathervanes are, in my opinion, a wonderful expression of pure folk art.  The exaggerated fletching and large iron tip create an arrow like no other.
