Huntboard

Eastern Virginia,
Circa 1780
Yellow pine throughout

A handsome and early huntboard from Virginia, made entirely of yellow pine. A straightforward form with a very slight taper to the legs indicating a slight nod to the emerging neoclassical style. The breadboard ends are through-tenoned for added stability to the top. Two lipped drawers with incised line decoration. Excellent condition in a desirable small size with no evidence of  previous paint.

Why we love it: With legs that go on forever, this huntboard can run right into your heart.
