Painted Pike Fish Plaque

American

Circa 1920

Painted White Pine

 17″ H x 42″ W

This large scale folk art painting depicts a colorful pike that has likely just been caught. We see the hook and bait in the pikes mouth and it appears to be still in the water. This sign perhaps once hung in a bait shop.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Great color with a wonderful folky expression!
