Pair of Carved Capitals

Carved white pine, likely from Maine.
Circa 1870

These were made for an official building that was never built. The pair were stored in a barn in Maine until 2016.

How we’d use them: I currently use these as side tables.  I have envisioned making them into a coffee table topped with a heavy piece of glass.
