Circa 1780

This slipper chair features a shaped crest rail with molded, out-swept ears and central foliate device against a punched ground, pierced vasiform splat with lightly carved volutes, molded trapezoidal seat frame with shaped lower edge, central drop pendant in front, cabriole front legs ending in pad feet. Retains original slip seat and pine corner blocking. Old refinished surface with warm color.
