Nippes & Son was founded by David Nippes on Mill Creek near Philadelphia to produce government-pattern long rifles for the War of 1812. These guns were issued to the 39th Regiment, an infantry regiment raised in East Tennessee commanded by Colonel John Williams. The regiment was ordered to join Andrew Jackson in 1813. They fought the Battle of Horseshoe Bend against the Creek Indians.

Why we love it:  Knowing that this gun went into battle with Andrew Jackson is a thrill.
